Hello! I have a couple of things, first of all, my hen, Sarah is fully recovered and I was able to put her back with the rest of my other chickens. The mean ones that attacked her are no longer a problem, so she should be fine! I am so happy for her, she looks and acts normal again!
Also, I had 13 eggs in the incubator and only one hatched! Is that normal? The one that did hatch appears to be a healthy chicks, it is eating and drinking and pooing just fine, it seems very alert as well. This one started hatching around 9:00 p.m. Friday evening and finally was completly hatched by Saturday evening around 7:00 p.m., it took some time, but it was worth it. Unfortunatly, Sarah did not take to the chick like I had hoped, so now the little thing is all by itself. I worry it will be lonely, do chicks get lonely?
One last thing, just an update on the seven chicks that hatched a month ago, wow! they are huge and doing great! It is so much fun to see the progress of growth with these little guys(or gals)!
