My 'Eggy' definately takes it from his girls...his comb is always scabbed. I continually have to put noxema on it at night, because the girls just pick on it every now and then... Sharon...Paul definately may have hit the taget about the protein content. Also, it is that time of year for them to loose their feathers...best of luck...Scooter
