Yikes! That's awful! I couldn't say I over use it certainly, but for certain wounds, especially on feet and under wings or heavily feathered areas it is very difficult to keep dry. Also, there have been times when ointments accumulated dirt and feather debris, and seemed sort of counter productive. Fortunately my chickens aren't wounded often, so that limits my use of it, however the results have been so good, with very fast healing times and "weeping" wounds clearing up fast that I've stuck with it. I never put it on heavily, I just "puff" it on, I wonder if that makes a difference. Thanks for the heads up. I will be much more cautious with it from now on.
