I have silkies and mine are on a roosting pole 2 inches wide. People have said silkies can't jump up as high as others to poles lower , I have cockin and silkie hens and they fly up and roost as high as the other chickens . I guess mine have learned if they want to be with the others they will try and accomplish to get up with others!
