Hi William. She stays more in the nest box than she does in the garden, Id say about half the day. She did lay every day, we'll see if she lays today as the problem was only noticeable from 15th August, yesterday. She's about...6 months old. 'Point of lay', or so Im told , is a hen that is on the point of laying eggs for the 1st time, a young hen, a pullet. Don't quite understand what you mean about a 'broody hen being a problem'. Define please?? Thanks , Lee
