BluKote contains some pesticide to keep flys away. Different brands contain antibotic and pain killer. It is very good to use on open wounds. Never eat it. My brother and I use it alot on calves when we take off unwanted body parts. Wears off in a few days but by then wounds should be sealed over. I would recommend any one with animals keep a can around. Please read the lables on all your animal products. Once we had a dog he came home one morning bloody something had realy torn him up. We used blucoat on him to.
