Quincy, coyotes can jump a 4 foot fence. And they're freaking everywhere, from what I heard from the animal control folks. How high is your fence? If it wasn't that they dug under, I'd put electric low, 4-6 inches above ground level, and another wire or two at the top, taking it up to 5 feet at least. Barbed wire might work, but I'd go electric. I can't say from experience that it will work, but that's what I'd try first.
