thanks everyone for the advice...she seems to be doing ok, she's definitely separate from any other chickens, probably for a while. Fortunately the wounds on the back of her head, so pecking her own wound at it is not an issue.
when it comes time to integrate i'll definitely try your suggestions, I just have a particularly large and in ornery Jersey Giant that i think is the culprit, so hopefully the healing time will afford the injured little hen to gain some weight and size before i attempt another integration.
