I've heard of someone who had a hen who went broody and disappeared. 3 weeks later, the owner found her hen and a bunch of peeping chickens under the seat of her small boat. Mommy and her babies were moved a bit later that week. My duck tried to brood under the coop, but the eggs were not fertile (no drake) and I blocked off the area. I love these cookey girls. Crack me up! Egg hunts year 'round!
