She worsened over night and sadly died early this morning. It was probably for the best as if she was sick for much longer her life wouldnt have been good. Thankfuly I dont think she was in pain and she was happy when she died beacause she'd had lots of fuss and attention. I know this sounds horrid, but i have a good reason to ask. If possible we are going to go out today to buy a chick, who we have found with a breeder, who is the same age and breed as Holly, our dead chick, would the other chickens tell the difference if we introduced her today? Our chickens arn't particularly bright and we need to balance out the ages and amounts of chickens in the coop. Any advice would be great. Thanks for all your help with Holly, I think it was for the best.
