They're probably just scared silly. I have found it always takes about 2 weeks for chickens to get used to or learn something new. Give those gals some time - and most birds do roost, chickens included. I have one or two birds that love to sleep in a nesting box but everyone else sleeps on a roost. You can try closing off your nesting boxes after a couple weeks if they are staying in there and you want them out. Also it helps to put a couple fake eggs in each nesting box so they get the idea what it's for. They'll catch on.
