I have 41 straight run chicks that are 8 weeks old. they are a mixture of Black Copper Marans,Amerucanas and Gold Sex Link.They started pecking at about 4 weeks old and i clipped the top beak and put them in a dark area for a couple of days. This worked until i brought them out into bright daylight and they immediatley started pecking each other again.They have been in a semi dark area since and are now 8 weeks old.I just built a 10'x10' coop and put them in it and they immediately started pecking again. Within 10 minutes there was blood in three of their tails so i clipped their beeks again and moved them into a semi dark area again.Any ideas to prevent the pecking would be greatly appreciated.Thank You!
