I didn't mean to bring up such a volatile subject - I was just really curious about why milk is bad for chickens and assumed it must be pasturized since I have always given raw milk and raw milk products to my chicks and chickens with excellent results. There is lots of info on raw milk on my website (www.Rlittlecountryfarm.com) under raw milk info if you want to take a look at it but yeah, I do think pasturization as a whole is a bad thing and causes way more harm to food that help. I try to stay away from any opinion type info, just facts so you might find it interesting.
Very interesting - did you know you can leave fresh, raw milk out on the counter in summer for a week and it won't spoil? It'll smell just as sweet days later (it clabbers) and be perfectly safe to consume but pasturized milk will spoil sitting out on the counter in summer in about an hour and be right out toxic if you drank it a day later. That was what really started me researching on this subject -
