
Posted by Paul I always collect eggs just before roosting time in the evening. If you remember which pullet you suspect of eating eggs, pen her seperately and see if that stops it. Sometimes that can be stopped by mounting the nest above their sight line. You know, outta sight, outta mind.....Paul

Well Lori, the easiest way to tell if a pullet is laying, is to pick her off the roost at night and feel the bones just under her vent. There are two and a hen or pullet that is laying will have room for you to lay 3 fingertips between those bones. If you can only lay one fingertip in there, she`s not laying.
