I have been lookin for a long time for a wormer that IS approved for laying hens. Looks to me like the problem is that no producer of the wormers has wanted to spend the time and money on research. The large commercial producers of eggs probably never have to worm because the hens aren't exposed to an environment where they can consume the worm eggs. Maybe the backyard-flock market isn't profitable enough to bother with the research. If anyone knows of a safe product, I want to know, too.......
