This is the message board (est. 2001) for St James' Cemetery.
There is lots more information available at the main site: www.stjamescemetery.co.uk
I feel that the bridge (glass) should at least start from a `sand stone` structure on the mount even if it becomes an `orb`, `strand of pearls`, path of light (however the inspiration dictates) until it reaches out and makes contact with the Cathedral door - as has been mentioned elsewhere linking this place of worship to the city and daily life in our `hope`. I was taken to St James as a child and the `spring` and by eyes bathed (I was born very premature and without a reserve of vision...) It was such a wonderful place of mystery and exploration as a child - so many tomb stones and memorials to read and I watched fascinated as the Cathedrals took shape above. May the bridge be further used to encourage visits to St James itself `day and night` in peace and safety. Historically `Mount Sion` was the place to walk...and take the air. Best wishes with the venture.
