Uriel is a doll! You know, his parents really do worry for him lots. THey often check on him, feed him,groom him. If I bring him out of the carrier, they rush to me to see him and lavish him with attention. If I am near the carrier they rush to have me let them in so tend to him. I really think if he hadnt' been a singleton baby, and been too cold while they were out getting full to come feed him, he would have had strong feeding cries, they would have fed him properly, and I'd nothave had to take over. They love that little FID... They just didnt' know why he didn't want food.
Most arent, after a day, forget teh baby, and treatit likea stranger! These two, continue to tend him and worry over him. That's the sign of goodparents. It was just not a good situation. THey both had to eat lots, and he simply was too cold. Looking back, if I'd have hooked up the heat pad, put it under half their box, they probbly would have been able to continue raising him. however, I dont' mind handfeedings, and they get to be more relaxed and loving and groom him much better than I can, and I get to help feed him, and cuddle him.
It's a lovely set up for all concerned!
