Sorry to hear about this - it sounds utterly ridiculous...especially in the age of the internet, where people can watch anything made in any country - especially the "youth", who are proficient in getting the material they want from bit torrent, or other sources. Just nuts....nasty little busy-bodies with nothing better to do with their time.
Well, hang in there. Wish there was some way to help - I'll definitely subscribe, if that's what it takes.
