Have any of you chaps been pinched by You Tube on account of one of your video uploads? Here's the drill on what happened to me. See, me mates used me digital movie camera to film me dressed up in a rather lovely chain-mail bikini warrior outfit (cost me a few quid at a London S&M convention) and wielding a nasty broadsword (me Da loaned me his collectible sword). Then, I found a nasty-looking dragon CGI on Renderosity and used me movie editor to splice me in fighting the freakin' beastie.
So, bloody Hell if a few days later some Net Nazi artist ratted me to You Tube that I violated that sod's copyright. Previously, I had tried to contact this wanker on Renderosity's sitemail seeking his holy blessing, but got no reply so I assumed he was either a goner or didn't give a rat's arse if I used his precious render.
You Tube never gave me the courtesy of a message informing me of the offending art. They just bloody well told me to make off with me video without a chance to make me amends.
Not sure where to upload me wee production, so any advice would be appreciated. I must be daft as I thought the whole idea of the Internet was non-commercial file-sharing. So,in conclusion, the Yanks who control You Tube can just go fuc.k themselves as far as I'm concerned. Wouldn't it be a lovely thing indeed if the Net was managed by the freakin' Swedes or Danes who are much more open-minded?
