Speaking of Lensgreve Wedell, did his father inherit any Kraj-Juel-Vind-Frijs title when he took over Frijsenborg? Perhaps not, as it would be through the female line. If so, he could have been a double lensgreve
No, Count Tido Wedell didn't inherit any titles from his mother, Countess Inger Krag-Juel-Vind-Frijs - but the latter's father, who had no sons, actually went to court to see if his title and "grevskab" could pass to his daughter Inger (or maybe rather to her husband, Count Julius Wedell), but the court ruled against it. So Tido didn't become a double Lensgreve - but he nevertheless inherited Frijsenborg from his mother, which was only possible because the law of 1919 had enabled her to inherit the castle from her father eventhough the headship of the family and the Lensgreve title went to a distant cousin (who happened to be married to her sister).
