I just thought that when the succession laws were changed in Sweden it was not just for equality reasons but also a fear that yet another generation would have to go on having children in order to provide the throne with an heir.
Had they not changed the line of succession the king still would have had three heirs and possibly a fourth on the way.
Still i believe Sweden made the right choice, im not sure if Carl Philip would have been allowed to marry Sofia had he been the crown prince
Both Daniel and Sofia are commoners.
Where do you put the difference ? Because Sofia was a former lingerie model ?
Had Carl Philip been the heir, he might be conscious he had to choose someone different than Sofia, he might have married someone else and be happy with that person.
and i think Victoria is better suited to the role of heiress than he would have been to the role of heir. Or at least she seems to be.
It´s difficult to compare.
Victoria was prepared for her role since early age.
Should the law had not been changed, C Ph. might have prooven a very suitable responsible crown-prince and Victoria could have lived a more relaxed life like her sister.
That's something we will never know.
