. Valdemar of Denmark & Marie of Orleans;
. René of Parma & Margrethe of Denmark (daughter of the above, though she was catholic, the Danish RF is mainly Lutheran);
. Michael of Romania & Anne of Parma (daughter of the above);
. Ferdinand of Romania & Marie of Edinburgh (Michael's grandparents);
. Carlos Hugo of Parma & Irene of the Netherlands;
. Ferdinand of Orleans and Luise Helene of Mecklenburg-Schwerin;
. Alfonso XIII of Spain & Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg;
. Juan Carlos of Spain (grandson of the above) & Sofía of Greece;
. Maximilian of Baden & Valerie of Tuscany, etc.
I believe she was related to all the Protestant and Orthodox royals of Europe (twice descended from the Romanov czar of Russia, who regularly married German royals) -- correct?
Was her husband related to all the Catholic royals? I would imagine so, since Count Charles Theodor Toerring-Jettenbach was the son of Duchess Sophie Adelheid in Bavaria -- a direct descendant of King Maximilian I through his second Protestant wife, Princess Caroline of Baden.
Since his mother was a niece of Empress Elisabeth of Austria and his maternal grandmother was Infanta Maria Josefa of Portugal (a daughter of Dom Miguel), it seems likely that the entire Catholic section of the ALMANACH DE GOTHA was covered.
So does this mean that their children, Count Hans-Veit and Countess Helene, are related to the entire GOTHA? To add to this, Countess Henriette was born a princess of a mediatized house, with ties to the Tuscan branch of the Austria imperial dynasty. And Helene herself is an Habsburg my marriage, she her husband was a nephew of Blessed Karl, the last emperor.
With these additional marital connections, I would imagine that the grandchildren of Count Carl Theodor and Countess Elizabeth would have even further connections to the GOTHA.
