For when the "family" effectively extincts itself
and no one in line to inherit everything descends from a marriage which meets the criteria of the will.
What happens then?
What is the position under German law? Maybe the German state is the default inheritor in the same way the Crown is the default inheritor in the UK where the deceased hasn't made a will and has no one living relatives.
In such circumstances the German courts may have no incentive in helping this family "keep" its assets, if the end result is the German state loses out.
I would have thought given a generation or two, the family will be extinct under the requirements of the will at least.
