" 17.11.2018 Ship christening
Princess Ingrid Alexandra christens Norway's new research vessel, the icebreaker "Kronprins Haakon". The Crown Prince will also be in attendance (Tromsų, 12:15)"
---------------------
On a neighbouring MB we recently had a discussion about the duties of the new generation instignated by the fact that the Spanish heiress to the throne made a public appearance recently while pronouncing a speech, related to the Spanish Constitution.
Since this is the second time the young Norwegian Princess performs such a ship launch on her own (last time her grandfather the King accompanied her btw) I find it a very positive sign that performing royal duties are included in the education these young princesses get.
The Belgian Princess Elisabeth also has been handling royal duties on her own on various occasions (her parents supporting her in the background) so in my opinion this a perfect way for them to get used to their future role!
