: Does such a long time between the death and

I think it depends on e.g. where the person will be buried. In Stockholm, you might have to wait, because a lot of people live (and die) in quite a small area.
I checked today's local newspaper, and the time between death and funeral seem to be 3-4 weeks. The reason might be planning. There might be people who will need to travel 500-1000 kilometres and book hotel rooms, but now I'm guessing. Personally I think 2 weeks is the best. In old days, it was important not to have the funeral too soon after death, because that could suggest that it was a suicide.
The late King Gustaf VI Adolf was buried 10 days after death. Prince Bertil was buried 9 days after death. Princess Lilian was buried 6 days after death. I guess that when it comes to Royal funerals, those invited will clear their calendars.
