Did anyone else see Christiane Amanpour's interview today on CNN with Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit? She was doing a half hour feature on the valuable work done by modern royals (almost a shocking topic for a US network). First she interviewed Queen Rania of Jordan, then the Norwegian couple.
They both came across as thoughtful, dedicated and very professional, as well as in love. The Crown Prince spoke about his work with the UN on international development and his recent trip to Afghanistan, and the Crown Princess spoke about her work on HIV/AIDS.
The Crown Princess also spoke of her long process of adjustment into the RF, but that her parents-in-law have been very supportive and have a good relationship with both her and her elder son. She said she is happy with her life right now. I don't know if the interview is available somewhere online, but I recommend it if anyone can find it.
