Interesting remark. But do you think she personalizes "Danish Design" per se? I think it's a highly personal "Daisy Design" which is somewhat more ornate/rococo/curly/romantic/festive than the lets say more subdued, minimalistic and especially functional Danish Design. Also her paintings tend to be a bit sombre these past few years, something which we do not associate with the more primary Danish/Scandinavian/Northern colour spectre. Just some food for thought.
I find Henrik more French than Margrethe Danish (also when you see her outfits: not very typical Danish, "whatever that is" (Danes may ask)).
It is said too that Princess Mary promotes "Danish" fashion design. Well, also in that sense I disagree a little. Present Danish fashion design is characterized by its NON focusing on its Danish roots. Most European women that buy this very popular high street fashion brands "Made in Denmark" do not even know they are Danish (which is exactly what the Danish fashion industry wishes: to be known as an international style).
