I agree with you but perhaps Queen Margrethe is just unique. I cannot imagine any other reigning queen do what she does/did...

I guess we all see the difference: just the creative woman Margrethe vs. HM Margrethe II Denmark's Queen.
I don't think there are many people (esp. in Denmark) who have any problem with "all this". And think the combination is just interesting and makes the Queen and the Person happy/functioning better.

I think there will be a difference if King Frederik X would f.i. perform as a rock star at Roskilde ("And here at last: Frede! Yeah...!"). But, well, on the other hand King Frederik IX conducted orchestras...

Denmark is just, well, uhm, different, I suppose.
