Other sovereigns have preceded her on the stage in less than regal roles. Marie Antoinette played sheppardesses and in more recent times Queen Juliana took to the stage in an amateur production playing a cleptomaniac.....
Juliana's best theatrical performance however was her surprised look when Beatrix announced during her inauguration that Queensday would remain on april 30th. Queen Juliana herself had signed the order several days in advance
