It's Gothic in style.
Bridal crowns were inspired by crowns on images of the Blessed Virgin, and sometimes reused such.
I've seen a late 16th century one which is like an ordinary coronet, though.
At court in the 18th century, when the Maids of Honour married, the Queen arranged and paid for the festivities.
On these occassions the Queen's own crown was used.
