Who says the King allowed photographers to make photos of the complete family for this "rivalry" reason? Can't it just be that he wanted to show just a happy family get-together in a what must be personally very exciting pre-weddingS period within this family? And exciting for Sweden which can look forward to a very special and festive 2010?
Was this "denying rumours" reason given as the official reason for all this?
These continuous stories about internal family rivalry (especially when female members are concerned...) are quite boring and come and go in all monarchies. Most royal families are close-knit as English puts it so well.
