: I have seen in the royal website that there
: are many palaces and castles linked to the
: monarchy, but most of them are museums or
: tourist attractions. How many royal
: residences are at the disposal of the king
: to live or to perform his official duties?
: Or does he only use Drottninghold both for
: living and working?

The king uses Drottningholm as his residence.
The Royal Palace, in the center of Stockholm, is used as his office and for receptions and various formal events. It is also partially open to the public and contains a museum as well.
Rosendal is a tiny manor at Djurgården, close to the center of Stockholm. It is used as a museum.
Ulriksdal, just north of Stockholm, is partially used (southern wing) by the swedish section of the World Wildlife Fund, and contains a few apartments 8northern wing), but the main part of the building is hardly ever used.
Slightly further to the north is Rosersberg, which has hardly been used by the royals since the death of queen Desideria (Desiree) in 1860. The King hosted a dinner there during an international meeting about Iraq recently, but it largely stands empty. It has been used by the army and more recently by a school for civil defence officers. They are however moving to purposebuilt buildings.
Tullgarn, 100 km southeast of Stockholm is partially used as vacationhome for Royal Palace staff. Prince Carl Philip hosted his 25th birthdayparty there, otherwise the formal rooms are hardly ever used.
Haga, close to Ulriksdal, is used by the government as a guesthouse for international guests.
Strömsholm, 150 km east of Stockholm is partially used by the swedish equine federation, but most of it is just standing empty.
