I have seen in the royal website that there are many palaces and castles linked to the monarchy, but most of them are museums or tourist attractions. How many royal residences are at the disposal of the king to live or to perform his official duties? Or does he only use Drottninghold both for living and working?

: Rent? So any John Doe can rent an appartment
: in the palace estate? What is the criteria
: to rent a place to live within the
: Drottningholm estate? Understandable for
: Daniel, as he is probably going to marry
: Victoria, but I mean in general.

: Basically anyone can rent an apartment in
: the buildings at the disposal of the king
: but the chance of actually getting one must
: be very small. When it comes to the royal
: mews apart from princess Madeleine and
: Patrick Sommerlath, a nephew of the queen,
: there are many officers living there. At
: Drottningholm, where there must be some 50
: apartments in various buildings some are
: rented out to people working with culture in
: various ways. The contract Westling signed
: with the crown states that he must move
: within 3 months if the king needs the
: apartment for a close relative of the royal
: family or for his staff, so I suppose that
: there are a number of court officials living
: in various buildings there. There are also a
: number of buildings around Ulriksdal castle
: which is at the disposal of the king.
