Daschunds do have a mind of their own, though. One such dog, owned by one aunt of mine, bit another aunt of mine, and hence had to be put down.
Although its unfortunate that the dog was injured, I think the other side of the coin also bears addressing... and that is, how many accidents are caused by people swerving or otherwise to avoid a dog or such on a (busy) road?
