You're not alone. I don't like the way the titles are not being used for the Wessex children. Ah, I long for the old days.

: It was rather more like the British way, but
: as you know with the children of the Earl
: and Countess of Wessex no longer enjoying
: royal titles and styles the new titles in
: Denmark reflect the direction Britain is
: going rather than the way it used to be.
:
:
: True. I think I am in denial about the
: Wessex children.

: The offspring of Queen Beatrix' younger sons
: Prince Friso and Prince Constantijn are
: members of the Netherlands nobility as Count
: (Countess) van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg, a
: title which is hereditary in the male
: lineage.
:
: This move looks like the offspring of the
: Danish King's younger chidren will -in the
: future- be Count(ess) de Montpezat.
:
: Meaning that only children of the Sovereign
: and the Heir are Prince(ss) of Denmark.
:
:
: I rather like the British way: Male-line
: grandchildren of the King/Queen are Princes
: and Princesses, and great-grandchildren are
: Lords and Ladies (except for Prince
: William's children). I hope that's what the
: Danish court will do for the children of
: Nikolai and Felix.
