Posted by Suzanne Just to add a little side note... recently, I was involved in a production of a comedy at CSP - "Jest a Second" - which opened the week of all the horror. There was some talk amongst the cast and crew about how the show would be received... we weren't sure how people would react to the levity, but like so many other things in life, "The show must go on." The reaction from the audiences that first Friday night after the attacks was a very welcome and pleasant surprise. People laughed as though they were starved for it; after watching the media footage on television over and over again, they probably were eager to be taken away for just a little while. I'm not very good at wording things eloquently (especially first thing in the morning after only one cup of coffee), but I really don't think there are any words to describe how proud I felt in that instant. I went from feeling completely helpless and powerless in the face of this crisis to all of a sudden feeling like I'd made a difference in my own small way. Just my two cents!
