QF: O’BRIEN, Katie (GBR) 6 107 beat KERBER, Angelique (GER) 4 86 3-6 6-3 7-6(5) QF: SOUTH, Melanie (GBR) 151 lost to FLIPKENS, Kirsten (BEL) 3 84 2-6 4-6 QF: BALTACHA, Elena (GBR) 5 103 beat BARROIS, Kristina (GER) 2 67 6-7(4) 6-2 6-4 SF: O’BRIEN, Katie (GBR) 6 107 v BARTHEL, Mona Q 529 SF: BALTACHA, Elena (GBR) 5 103 v FLIPKENS, Kirsten (BEL) 3 84 That places Elena at 96 and Katie 99 in the rankings. There are still a few girls involved in tournaments who could catch Katie and Elena before the end of the week. However if Elena and Katie do manage to win through to the final then surely they will finally make it into the top 100 club. Having waited for years for one girl in the top 100 we may soon have three.
