We always talk about the doubles being the most important match in Davis Cup.
Did you know that since John Lloyd started as captain we have played 8 ties (including this weekend) and used 6 different doubles teams and only won twice!
AM & RH - lost
CF & RH - lost
RH & JM - lost
RH & JM - lost
TH & JM - WON
GR & JM - WON
JD & AM - lost
JD & AM - lost
Obviously since Tim and Greg retired we have known we will struggle at no. 2 singles so we should have tried to form an established doubles pair and stuck with it!
