I think that the code violation rules should be applied equally across the board. You often get umpires who turn a deaf ear rather than risk a confrontation, but if penalties are being applied, they should be applied equally. That's why the UEFA decision to ban Eduardo for diving was a farce and was overturned on appeal and I hope that the same thing happens for the FIFA decision to ban Chelsea from signing players.
