Laura Robson beat Lauren Davis (USA) 6-2 6-3
Davis was lower ranked that Laura but on a long run of matches without loss, so was a bit of an unknown quantity.

Heather Watson beat Noppawan Lertchewakarn (THA) 2 6-2 6-1
This is an extraordinary result, NL was the losing finalist against Laura at Wimbledon in 2008 and won Wimbledon this year.
