I have a new motherboard (asus p4c800-e dlx) that offers a promise raid controller and some sata interfaces as well.
currently, i am using a c drive and a cdrw drive on the primary controller and two 80 gig drives on the secondary controller. i dont use them in a raid or concurrently (like for sound and video) while editing. i use only one video drive at a time for projects.
would it be good for performance and maintain stability if i were to take one of the 80 gig drives and put it on the promise controller, so that each drive had its own controller? does it matter? is it as stable?
