Posted by Dave Z Someone sent Maxell an email regarding these disks and they were told that Maxell doesnt sell unbranded DVDR in the US and that they checked a sample of the disks Meritline is selling and tehy are NOt genuine Maxell disks.... Meritline said to one person that "It is an old OEM of Maxell disks".... I am getting worried....shoudl I retunr these disks while I still can??? I have a program that "reads" blank DVD and CD media and tells you what brand they are (supposedly) etc...and it says these are Maxell 2x disks as advertised.....but I ALSO read somewhere that this data can be faked... So what is the deal?/ Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance.. DZ

There has been some discussion on other forums about "Genuine Maxell Unbranded OEM DVD-R"disks being sold on MANY major media outlet sites like meritline.com....
I have bought 75 of these myself...50 from one vendor and 25 from another...and still 25 more for my day job from ANOTHER vendor...
