Posted by Gordon Hathaway Up to now I have always been able to uninstall Matrox Video Tools and then re-install but now I am stuck. Video Tools will not uninstall at all so I cannot re-install it! Does anyone know how I can either uninstall Matrox Video Tools fully (removing the directory does not work) and/or fool Windows into thinking it has been uninstalled. Somewhere there must be either a file or Registry entry which needs to be removed. Any help much appreciated! Gordon Hathaway

I have regularly had problems with Matrox Capture not recognising my Sony VX2000 camcorder, usually after starting Premiere with the camcorder connected - Windows 98SE then tries to install its own Firewire drivers and loses the Matrox ones.
