Posted by joe As for the hotfix, I'm confused. What version of Premiere do you have? The first part of your post suggests that you have v6. If you don't have v6.5, then there's no reason to run the hotfix. If you do have v6.5, the hotfix isn't working, and you want to manually get the Matrox stuff moved over... Copy the Matrox folder found in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere x.xx\Settings and paste it in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere 6.5\Settings directory (where C is your system drive). Then, Right-click the Plug-ins subfolder of your old Premiere installation, select the search option. Under the File Name, type the following: mtx;mrv. Once the search is complete, select and copy all the search results. Past these plug-ins in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere 6.5\Plug-Ins folder. And, for what it's worth... I tried running RT2000 on an XP system for a while, and found it buggy. I eventually switched back to W2K and it's now pretty rock-solid (knock on wood).

There could be a number of reasons why audio isn't working. It may be that your audio is working fine, but that you don't have the volume controls on your system set up to play back the audio from premiere. You need to make certain that audio output channel isn't muted. Double-click on the little speaker icon in your taskbar. Go to "Options --> Properties". Make certain there's are checks in the boxes adjacent to "auxiliary" (and perhaps "video"). Click OK to get back to the Play Control window. Make certain that the auxiliary and video aren't muted.
