Some have likened the slaughter 0f 40-million unborn to the holocaust. As to due process, there are plenty of cases in which administrative hearings are conducted within narrow parameters and within a short time frame. The abortion process could easily include such a step, with clear instructions for what constitutes "irreparable harm" to the woman if, for example, there was a risk to life or health. The present process does not even recognize the unwanted, unborn child as a human. Not even a little bit. It does not even provide for a proper funeral, not even at nine months gestation. That is barbarism, and when barbaric practices are institutionalized, that causes pernicious damage to society. Single-issue decision points should not be applied lightly, but neither should they be taken off the table.
