Posted by Bob on 9/28/2007, 5:25 am "F*** Bush" http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2007/sep/27/editors-fate-hands-csu-panel/ The editorial, which ran in Friday's edition of the paper, simply read: "Taser This . . . F--- Bush." It has sparked a national firestorm and debate about what kind of material deserves First Amendment protection. ...Jeff Browne, director of student media, said that if all of the advertisers who threatened to pull their business do, the school could lose $50,000 of advertising. The newspaper's staff has taken a 10 percent pay cut because of lost revenue. [from readers] ...if the CEO for General Motors came out and said, "F&*# all the N*##@%@ and Jews" ? Do you think the Board of Directors ought to have the right to fire him? Of course they would. So too, does CSU have the right to discipline this moron. Stop blathering about free speech and First Amendment. It simply does not APPLY here.

Colorado's student newspaper proclaimed in large letters in an editorial comment:
...When CBS fired Don Imus, they did so because they did not want to be associated with an employee who made such ignorant, racially insensitive comments. That was a business decision that CBS had EVERY right to make.
