Why should minority students receive more scholarships and opportunities because they are minority? I could understand this plan if the minorities were doing well, but according to the graduation rates presented in Professor Mityaginâ's article this is not the case. It seems the less likely one’s chance of succeeding in college is, the more scholarship opportunities arise. The Diversity Plan is just one form of discrimination on this campus. You have the audacity to pass on the falsity that this girl was in favor of diversity, that her efforts to push diversity was what got her fired? Conscienceless.. It's enough to make me wish you were going to meet your maker when you die. I'd love to be there for that one. Your right wing buddies knew damn well she wasn't fired because she opposed segregated housing. And they have no interest in the welfare of the fired woman, just in spreading a little purposeful misinfo. So all in all, nice job, if you can stomach that sort of thing. Now get busy on your diatribe against the Republican apparatchiks who really applied political litmus tests to hiring general staff at the DOJ, in direct contravention of civil service rules and basic fairness.

"I cannot do the story justice here".......or anywhere else; justice isn't what you're after. I feel I am being discriminated against because I am Caucasian. Professor Mityagin’s opinions published in the Oct. 18 issue of the Lantern have been the most sensible comments I have heard on the Diversity Plan.
