People come here to escape socialism and other forms of tyranny. Entrepreneurs who have been frustrated in such countries as Britain and France have come to the US, innovated, and sent their products back to their home countries. Freedom. It's not just an abstract idea. "How do you explain the continued quality of life in the European countries while following what you and yours deem a "Socialistic" approach?" Their quality of life entails restrictions on freedoms that Americans will not tolerate, and without which, Europeans would do better. France's new president campaigned on promises to ease some of the most idiotic restrictions on his country's economy, for example, a law forbidding working in excess of 35 hours per week.
