As I am not seeking your view, but rather how you can say the words and actions of the Christian right which aim at creating an American theocracy, then you have not addressed the problem at all. "I am aware that there are spokesmen identified with Christianity who would make the US a theocracy. They have no chance of success, because they can never get the support of enough evangelicals to even begin enacting restrictive laws." How do you make this statement fit with the reality that the leadership of the Christian right has the ears of most of the evangelical community along with their votes? How do you make this fit with the reality that the power players behind those leaders have the ears of many in our government? "What you seem to wish is for evangelicals to take to the streets. That is primarily a practice of the left. Rarely if ever does the right get the kinds of "million-man" turnout that the left does." This is not what I wish. If it were to happen, it would be extremely odd. It is far easier to attain what one wants through the acquisition of governmental power, and that is best attained quietly and behind the scenes, which is the tactic the Christian right leadership seems to be taking. And even in all this, you still fail to address the specifics of the issue I have continually pointed out. However, at least in this post, you kept your attack on liberals to a minimum, which honestly is a lot more than I expected. We are making strides here, but still haven't gotten to a real defense.

"I have addressed the problem by saying that I do not support or condone suppressing anyone's freedom of religion in violation of the First Amendment."
