Posted by Le Russ As you do or should know, there is absolutely no parallel between the death of the buggy whip industry and the effects of globalization. The death of buggy whips cost jobs in America, which were replaced by automotive jobs in America. One industry was replaced by another and there is absolutely nothing that anyone can do about it. That's light years from taking existing jobs in existing industries in America and zipping them 10,000 miles away to some place where the laborers make 10 cents a day, there is no mechanism to ensure either worker or sonsumer safety, and workers have zero rights. The latter is also not producing "growing pains," it's causing "losing pains." Claiming that a lawsuit is "against God" is the equal of a fear that some groups are moving us in the direction of a theocracy? Again, your analogy is horribly inapt.

I couldn't let this go:
"The classic example is the "buggy whip" industry that collapsed as more people bought automobiles"
As for:
"The quote you cited is, despite your sarcasm, nothing any worse than the "we are in danger of a theocracy" alarmism that I find on THIS site."
